“Christmas is not a time or a season but a state of mind. To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. If we think on these things, there will be born in us a Savior and over us will shine a star sending its gleam of hope to the world.”

- Calvin Coolidge

To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy.  I commit today to work harder for these things.  It struck me yesterday, as my family sat down to watch “White Christmas”, that hope and nostalgia is not yet lost.   People are good, and life is worth it.  Peace is worth concentrating on, good will worth taking time for, and mercy worth the effort.

Give forgiveness and mercy an extra ounce of intention in the coming year.  Today of all days reminds us that everyone needs and deserves the gift of a second chance.

Merry Christmas! Remember that all that you have and are is worthless unless you share it… freely, and without cynicism or selfishness.

All my love to you and yours,

Juls
